IPv4 & IPv6 for rent

Rent IP addresses – GRE tunnels from €2.50/month

Compare individual IPv4 addresses over GRE, full /24 networks and IPv6 /48 subnets by address count, routing and price. GRE tunnel IPs can be ordered directly; /24 networks are usually provisioned within 24 hours after a short review.

Why rent IP addresses instead of buying?

Available IPv4 address space is scarce. Buying an IPv4 block involves a purchase price, a transfer process and ongoing management of routing, contact data and reputation. With a lease, the address space remains with the provider and is made available for the agreed term.

When renting, you pay only for the IP resource you choose: GRE tunnels for individual IPv4 addresses, a /24 subnet for your own BGP routing or a /48 subnet for IPv6 projects. Every option is prepaid, so you renew only what you want to keep using.

We have provided hosting from Frankfurt am Main since 2012 and operate our own hardware and IP networks. This page compares an additional IPv4, a complete /24 network and an IPv6 subnet.

Rent or buy IPv4?

The main differences in effort, cost and use.

Buying IPs

  • One-off investment in the address space
  • Organize the transfer and ongoing management yourself
  • Review history and reputation before taking over the subnet

Renting at noez

  • Predictable monthly price
  • Routing and management together with noez
  • Prepaid, no minimum term — renew as needed

Rent IP Addresses

Which type of IP rental fits you?

Three ways to rent IP addresses – from a single IPv4 to a complete subnet.

Start with one IP

Single IPv4 via GRE tunnel

€2.00 tunnel + €0.50 per IP/month

Rent a GRE tunnel from €2.50 including one IPv4 address and use the IP on a Linux server at noez or another provider.

  • From 1 IP – additional packages can be ordered
  • For Linux servers at providers that support GRE
  • DDoS filtering with up to 1 Tbit/s filtering capacity included
From €0.39 per IP with code

Full /24 network (256 IPv4)

from €99 per month with code

A complete IPv4 network for your own BGP routing with your ASN – or routed to your servers hosted with us.

  • 256 contiguous IPv4 addresses
  • Manage rDNS at RIPE yourself
  • From €0.39 per IP with discount
IPv6 beta

IPv6 subnet (/48)

from €9.95 / month

A leased IPv6 /48 offered as a beta product; we coordinate initial configuration and routing with you after ordering.

  • Leased /48 IPv6 subnet
  • Routing via BGP or through your provider
  • Complements leased IPv4 addresses

I am very pleased with my collaboration with Noez. They have extremely low prices, and their services are of German quality.

Overall the service was stable. I had for 4 months and no outages. However, the support only available on work days. The disk IOPS was low.

How to pick the right IP rental

Which option is right for you mainly depends on how many addresses you need and where they should be routed. Here are the most common scenarios:

Single IPv4 addresses for existing servers

When an existing server needs additional IPv4 addresses, you can use our GRE tunnel IPs. The tunnel costs €2.00 per month and each IPv4 another €0.50, so one IP starts at €2.50. You need a Linux server with a public IP and GRE support. When moving servers, you can configure a new tunnel endpoint.

On our own VPS and dedicated servers you can order additional IP addresses directly as a service add-on. And if you want to move an address flexibly between several noez services, take a look at our Multi-Service IP.

Full /24 networks for your own routing

For infrastructure with its own ASN or 256 contiguous addresses, use the /24 IPv4 network. It costs €99 per month with code iplease99 (€0.39 per IP, regular €128). You use the network for your own BGP routing and manage reverse DNS at RIPE yourself. Alternatively, we route it to servers you rent from us, or a compatible external provider announces it for you. We review the intended use before provisioning.

IPv6 subnets for structured address planning

IPv6 addresses are not scarce, but a leased /48 supports structured address planning. The product is in beta; we coordinate BGP or provider routing and the initial configuration with you after ordering.

Frequently asked questions about renting IP addresses

Can I rent a single IPv4 address?
Yes. The GRE tunnel costs €2.00 per month and one IPv4 address adds €0.50. The product therefore starts at €2.50 per month with one IP; you can add available IP packages when capacity permits.
How fast are rented IP addresses available?
GRE tunnel IPs can be ordered directly online and set up right after payment. /24 networks are usually provisioned within 24 hours after a short review of your intended use.
Is it better to rent or buy IPv4 addresses?
When leasing, you pay monthly for the selected IP resource without having to purchase an address block. You can adjust available packages within product capacity, and there is no minimum term.
Can I use the rented IPs on servers outside noez?
Yes. You can use GRE tunnel IPs on a Linux server with a public IP when the destination provider supports GRE. A /24 network can be used via BGP with your own ASN or routed by a provider that announces the network for you.
Are the rented IP addresses protected against DDoS?
Yes. Our DDoS filtering with up to 1 Tbit/s of filtering capacity is active free of charge, including for IPs routed to external servers via GRE tunnel.
Can I route the network myself and manage rDNS myself?
With the /24 network, yes: you use it for your own BGP routing and manage the reverse DNS records yourself. For GRE tunnel IPs, we handle the routing to your server for you.
Is there a minimum term or notice period?
No. You pay for IP products in advance with no minimum term. You renew only if you still need the addresses.
Do you also offer IPv6 addresses for rent?
Yes. The IPv6 /48 is currently a beta product. We coordinate BGP or provider routing and the initial configuration with you after ordering.
