Multi-Service IP, /24 subnet or GRE tunnel — which one fits?

At noez there are three ways to get additional IP addresses. Which one is right for you depends on where your servers run and how much control you need.

Multi-Service IP: flexible additional IPs for your noez services

Multi-Service IP is intended for additional IPv4 or IPv6 addresses on supported noez services. You book slots and select the routing target in the control panel; added IPs are subject to the stated minimum holding period.

/24 subnet: a whole network under your control

A leased IPv4 /24 subnet (256 addresses) pays off when you need larger quantities or want to route the network via BGP yourself — with us or with another provider. From €0.50 per IPv4 — €99 instead of the regular €128 per month with code "iplease99", including self-service reverse DNS management.

GRE tunnel: noez IPs on external servers

A GRE tunnel costs €2.00 per month and each IPv4 adds €0.50. The tunnel terminates on your Linux server and includes DDoS filtering up to 1 Tbit/s. You configure the tunnel yourself, while rerouting between noez services remains a Multi-Service IP feature.

Multi-Service IP FAQ

What is a Multi-Service IP?
You book a pool of IP addresses (slots) and can freely route every single IP to one of your services – e.g. GRE tunnel, VPS or IP lease. This lets you manage multiple services centrally from one interface.
How does the slot model work?
You pay for a fixed number of slots. Each active IP occupies one slot. You can add IPs until all slots are taken and book offered additional capacity.
Can I re-route an IP later?
Yes. Change the routing target of each IP yourself, individually or for several IPs at once. The change takes effect within seconds.
Are IPv4 and IPv6 supported?
Yes, you can assign and route both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses from the pool.
How quickly does a routing change take effect?
Add IPs in the control panel and re-route them to another supported target there within seconds.
What does "diversity" mean?
When adding IPs, you can spread them from the available pool across different /24 networks and countries for flexible distribution across network ranges.
Can I cancel or reduce slots?
You pay for the service in advance with no minimum term. Added IPs are subject to a short minimum hold; after that you can release them and adjust your booking.
How much does a Multi-Service IP cost?
You pay in advance per IP slot, from €1.00 per IP a month and with no setup fee. Manage the quantity in the control panel.
